Ghana - is this the new Africa superpower?

My name is Ebenezer Ato kwamena Duncan-Williams, this is my first blog on the world stage. I am interested in African development in the areas of social policy and economic development on the continent. I will be sharing my knowledge and academic critique and recommendations on this blog. I welcome anyone who share this common interest with me to share this experience as well.

Thank you.

Not long ago, it was African giants like Egypt and Ethiopia who were the greats and elites of world civilization. They had money and vast untapped resources. Today however new and emerging economies like Nigeria, Angola, South Africa and Ghana have caught the world by surprise.

Ghana's economy has been growing stronger year-on-year and boosted with the discovery of oil in the country. The quality of human resources is getting better, political Governance is better than my experience as a young Ghanaian growing up in the Country. With all her short coming as a young democratic nation, Ghana nevertheless is striving to rise from the dust and become a potential world power.

We have only the future to look to as we hope for a brighter one. The way we master the courage to challenge old and backward ideologies will determine how successful we become as a nation, Our boldness to confront corruption with due diligence will anchor our corporate vision for growth and finally but not the least, our desire to turn our energy and powers into something will determine how much we have to play with on the world economic market.
